With effect from 1 October 2016 the EAC Standard replaces the Code on Policy Quotations for investment policies. The only parts of the Code still applicable are section 8 and annexure III relating to premium review disclosures. As this is now appropriately covered in a new Rule 18 on Premium Reviews in the Replacement Policyholder Protection Rules made under Section 62 of the Long Term Insurance Act, the Code will be stood down once the new Rule comes into effect.
