Why Fund Us

Why you should support our programmes

At the ASISA Foundation, our programmes are designed to create meaningful socio-economic impact.

Here are the key reasons to consider partnering with us:

  • Our programmes address critical socio-economic development needs, such as income generation, economic participation, unemployment, and poverty reduction. Supporting these initiatives allows funders to highlight significant outcomes in their sustainability or impact reports.
  • Our work aligns with national priorities outlined in the National Development Plan (NDP) and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
  • Independent monitoring and evaluation over the past decade demonstrate the positive impact of our programmes on participants and their communities. Participants apply their learning long after completing the courses, fostering lasting change.
  • Contributions to our programmes allow funders to claim either CFE or SED points under the Financial Sector Codes (FSC) immediately upon contribution.
  • Funders and collaborators will receive regular updates on programme progress and events, ensuring transparency and engagement.
  • Significant funders and collaborators have the opportunity to participate in programme governance structures, such as steering committees. These committees meet regularly to discuss developments and assist with adjudication processes, including business pitches and identifying growth opportunities for participants.
  • Partners and funders will be recognised on various platforms, including graduation events, programme reports, and annual reports, showcasing their commitment to socio-economic development.

This is what some of our longstanding partners have to say:

“CFE is one of the elements that we contribute towards, and the ASISA Foundation’s WageWise programme is our flagship CFE programme. The mandate of the ASISA Foundation is to empower people with financial knowledge, so our work aligns in that sense.”

Nozizwe Vundla, Head of Sanlam Foundation, who has contributed over R55 million since inception

“Given the current dynamic in South Africa, if the Foundation continues to focus on the key initiatives – education and SME development – I think it will continue to play a critical role in ensuring that more people participate and are included in the economy.”

Anton Pillay, CEO of Coronation Fund Managers, who has contributed R15 million since inception

“The ASISA Foundation’s governance structures are designed to promote transparency, accountability and ethical behaviour, and to ensure that its programmes are effectively managed and achieve their intended outcomes.”

Ismail Carr, Marketing & Communications Executive, Export Credit Insurance Corporation, who has contributed over R15 million since inception.
