ASISA Nominations Procedure

The Technical and Operations Board Committee focusses on technical and operational processes, procedures and controls that supports an effective and efficient market infrastructure for the investment and payment environments.  The objective is to minimise operational and systemic risks, including fraud and cyber, through standardisation and appropriate market rules and legislation.

ASISA - CSIRT STANDING COMMITTEE

ASISA point person: Johann van Tonder

This committee focusses on:

• Collaborate with industry participants and authorities in combating cybercrime and improving cyber security,
• Engage with the Regulators and industry participants on issues and legislation relating to cyber security,
• Contribute towards the improvement of skills in SA to combat cybercrime and improve cyber security standards.

CIS OPERATIONS STANDING COMMITTEE

ASISA point person: Johann van Tonder

This committee deals with operational matters in the CIS industry to facilitate effective and efficient processes and infrastructure. This committee also establishes industry standards and guidelines related to fund accounting, financial reporting, legislation and regulation.

FORENSIC STANDING COMMITTEE

This committee focusses on the detection, prevention and investigation of fraud and financial crime in the savings, insurance and investment industry. Collaboration with authorities and industry participants in combating financial crimes in the financial services industry.

INVESTMENT OPERATIONS STANDING COMMITTEE

This committee considers and influences the development and implementation of investment industry processes to facilitate an effective and efficient standardised market infrastructure utilising both technology and operational processes.

PAYMENT PROCESSES STANDING COMMITTEE 

ASISA point person: Johann van Tonder.

This committee considers and influences the development and implementation of effective and efficient standardised payment processes to safeguard industry participants and consumers. This includes the initiation of payment mandates, debit order collections, payroll collections, and payment rules.

REPORTING STANDING COMMITTEE

This committee focusses on regulatory and industry reporting to enable standardisation of content and formats of reports to clients, regulators, administrators and investment consultants.
